Yoon Suk-yeol takes workplace as South Korea’s new president | Politics Information

Conservative politician, who received election with a wafer-thin majority, might be sworn in at a ceremony in Seoul.

Yoon Suk-yeol might be sworn in as South Korea’s new president on Tuesday, in a ceremony overshadowed by a slew of weapons exams by its nuclear-armed neighbour.

Yoon, a conservative, takes workplace at a time of accelerating stress on the Korean peninsula, with North Korea conducting a document 15 weapons exams since January, two of them final week.
